[…] For the UK government is asking for precisely that kind of FTA – preferably signed before the Brexit transition period expires at the end of 2020. […] So now, having accused the UK of “cherry-picking”, it is the EU trying to make Britain, a third country, shoulder obligations required only of member states. […] And what of keeping Britain in the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), with automatic EU access to UK waters on unchanged quotas?
