There are a lot of new prepaid card services, what are people's experiences with them so far?

There's been a big rise in new payments solutions and some of them look quite interesting and am tempted to try one of them. Any early adopters who have had any experiences with cards like monzo or monese - are they worth checking out? I use my card for everything and so it would be great to get some safety if anything happens to it.

Hi Oliver, I have a Monzo card and I must say it's pretty handy for tracking expenses and budgeting. The sign up process is super easy but there is a waiting list to get a card and you have to top up £100 straight away to get it. If you're not happy with it you can always take out the money from the card at a cash machine. I also have a friend who travels a lot and she uses Revolut, she says it's quite useful because you don't pay as many fees abroad than with regular accounts. Hope this helps!

Hi Oliver,

I wrote an article about a new company called Soldo who offer a multi-user account and card for families (and businesses). It seems to be quite handy to handle budgeting with a shared spending. Maybe it could be of help/interest to you?

You can read it here: https://gooruf.com/uk/news/2017/06/30/soldo-multi-user-account-spending/
